For a plastic carboy and a bucket style spigot it seems kind of expensive.

I use a bucket w/spigot as a primary, and then straight to keg. I unscrew, sanitize and scrub the spigot every time I'm finished brewing.

I love it and I will never have any problems with it. Ok, there's always a chance however slight

Although there's the visual aspect to this carboy, I wouldn't bother with this set-up. I wouldn't want to clean a carboy, not matter how easy some people think it is

Williams brewing would put a spigot on beer bottles if they could.
If your going to use a plastic carboy, I do think the vintage shop are better than better bottle. the smooth sides seem to drop yeast similar to glass and they have a firmer/thicker bottom.

So they took a plastic carboy, and put a $.25 cent hand tightened plastic tap on it and now its worth $10 more...interesting.
