Its an ale. Uses coopers ale yeast. You may want to replace some/all of the dextrose called for in the boil with dry malt extract (DME), as it'll make for a nicer tasting beer.

Warthaug is correct. It is an ale and it does benefit from additional DME.

I just got back from my brother's house where we tried a couple of the batch of Cooper's Canadian Blonde I made for him. We both enjoyed it. He is quite pleased to have five dozen (minus the few we just drank) of them on hand since they go down pretty good in the hot weather we've been having.

I made them up with 1kg of Munton's Beer Enhancer (50% DME, 50% dextrose) and an extra 200gr of dextrose. This was for a 23 litre batch. They check in at about 5% ABV.

I thought the answer to Canadian Blonde is Elisha Cuthbert or Pam Anderson....

So what you're saying then, is that they are indeed Canadian Blondes? As much as Keith's is a Canadian "ipa"?

Wow Avril actually looks pretty smoking in that photo but I am pretty sure that is not her natural colour.
