If I want to siphon out of Cornelius keg or from the keggle it seems that the siphon tube is too short with the plunger all the way down. Can the siphon work with the inner tube most of the way up?


I know I could use more tubing to extend height, but I was curious about how high the plunger can operate.

THe plunger should operate anywhere in the tube as long as you have room to move it enough to start a siphon.
You can add a small amount of beer, wort, water, whatever you have that is sanitary in the top of the tube to help the plunger maintain a good seal and not allow air to leak past it.

I think my problem was the tubing weight pulling sideways on the plunger and losing the siphon. Will try pouring water on top, seems like a brilliant idea. thanks
