Default C02 in the Fridge

Are there any advantages or disadvantages to keeping the C02 tank in the fridge?

the only advantage is that you don't have to drill a hole in your fridge

A disadvantage is that the tank pressure drops when put in the low temperatures of the fridge. On a dual pressure gauge, this can make it seem like there's less left in the tank than there really is. However, this is something I'm willing to deal with to not drill through my chest freezers.

Im thinking about gettin a 2.5 gallon soda keg.I was wondering about this,id rather not poke a hole in my fridge. So the pressure guages still read ok for the keg pressure then?

The pressure inside a cold co2 tank is still WELL above serving pressure.
