I only netted less than 3 gallons of brew, is that normal. I started with 4 in the primary and then lost a gallon to transfering to secondary and bottling.

My first batch yielded about 16 liters versus the 19 I was expecting (I bottled in metric bottles mostly.) My second batch, a cocoa porter, originally 5.5 gal at brewing, yielded a bit under 4 gal. I had a huge amount of trub when I racked to secondary, much more than the American pale ale I brewed first.
