Why toss it unless you NEED to free up a vessel? You didn't say anything about SG or FG. What was 2 weeks longer than you wanted? At what temp did you try to maintain your brewing?
All things considered.. if I were you.. I'd not be hasty to dump it. Heck, leave it in the FV for another week or even two to let the yeast do it's magic.. prime and bottle. Then let it sit and condition for at least a few more weeks before trying to make any judgements. I'll bet you'll be quite surprised.
