Default Bottle color, does it matter?

Assuming I will store homebrewed IPA's in a dark basement (no ambient outdoor light at all) is it ok to use clear bottles without risk of skunking?

yes it's fine to store them like that, it would be better if they were in boxes though, or even drape a dark blanket over them just to be careful

Yeah, you can use clear bottles. Just keep them in the dark.

I use the clear and green bottles for my aplfelwein. Brown for beer.

As long as you keep the light off of them - color does not matter. Brown offers best protection for when there is light. But if you eliminate the light the color is not an issue.
