hi all! Im new here although i have been reading lots on this site. I have my first brew in the primary right now (extract). but i did something really dumb lol . i had been reading a lot of palmer's book and decided that when i made my coopers kit i would skip the brewing sugar because thats what he did. i however overlooked the fact that he added way more malt than just one can. i boiled the one can of coopers ipa lme with two gallons of water for half an hour then adde 2oz nb hop pellets with 15 minutes left, then added this to the primary with the remaining 3 gallons water, then pitched the yeast. so now i know the beer is probably 90% water lol. it has been in the primary for two weeks. i didnt do a hydro test before the fermentation but did one today and it says 1.010. i realize that im an idiot and royally screwed this one up but is there anything i can do to save it? should i add the kg of sugar now and let it sit for another couple weeks? any help would be appreciated... i dont really want to give up on it just yet.
