Default Best Lager Recipes?

I looked around the site for some lager recipes but didn't find what I was looking for. I am looking for an amber type lager with a medium hop flavor and an ABV% around 7-10%, any recommendations?

Unfortunately, it's been a long time since I've extract brewed, but I'd look into California Common (steam beer), as it fits your profile pretty well.
Usually mahogany to amber, medium hops (almost always northern brewers), but 7-10% is pretty big... pioneer the imperial steam? What makes steam beer cool for home brewers, is that even though it's a lager, the fermentation profile is a lot more like an ale - warmer temperatures. I'd pick up a copy of Ray Daniels' designing great beers for coming up with a great extract recipe (lots of great lager info in there as well)

Best of luck.

I don't know of any specific amber lagers that are over 6% or so, as usually "bigger" lagers are bocks or dopplebocks and not hoppy lagers. But you can scroll through our amber lager recipe database and see if you like any of them: http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f59/

Just opened my first CA common and it is great. I made it from extract but it is only about 5.5 %.

Steam bears are rare - found mainly in saunas in Finland.
