Default Belgian Pilsner diastatic power

Does Belgian Pilsner have a low diastolic power? Just brewed 9lbs with 2 lbs of flaked rice and 1lb carahell had only 9 bricks when I took a sample from the boil.

1.036SG/gal. Perhaps you erred in your process somewhere.

No it has plenty of diastolic power. Did you do a starch conversion test? If you did, then you need to look at crush, process etc to find where your low efficiency came from. If you didn't, well, maybe you just didn't mash long enough

154F mash one hour, 168F sparge. Grain is about two months old, not stale and kept in cool dry place. Everything went very well, never had a problem like this. To salvage batch I added one cup of sugar during boil.

I assume if you used a hydrometer, you let the sample cool to room temp?

Sphygmomanometers have no place in the brew day.

Oh ya I let it it cool, when the wort chilled i managed to get a 1.051 gravity so atleast it should be ok, just don't know what happened, I never used this basemalt before and I know with a 1.6L it should have enough diastolic power.
