Default B-brite vs. Star san

So my brew kit came with B-brite which I initially thought was a sanitizer but I wanted Star San instead so I picked up a bottle. My question is that B-brite says "cleaner". So now I'm under the assumption that this is what I clean my equipment with? The B-brite says it uses oxygen to remove residue so I'm assuming it's a cleaner and I would then use Star San to sanitize the equipment. If the B-brite is not a cleaner what should I use to clean my equipment with?

You are right. B rite used to remove organics and clean the surface. Rinse with very warm water and sanitize with star San. (As per directions)

That's right. The B brite is a cleaner, Star San is a sanitizer

I actually used B-brite as a cleaner and sanitizer for my first beer without issues. I hated that I had to rinse it well with warm water and moved to star san. PBW to clean buckets and carboys and star san for obvious sanitation. I thought b-brite was once considered a sanitizer though.
