Anyone here gone to Siebel institute?

Opinions?

I'm interested.

QUE ES "Siebel Institute"?

Siebel Institute is the brewing school in Germany, we have an office and extension in Chicago I believe.

I have not been. It is a pretty small group of brewers that have gone. I do have a couple of text book that they use. You can find them on Amazon some times. About 75$ a pop.

I've read a lot of reviews and looked into this. It depends what you are looking at I suppose. They cover EVERYTHING. There are classes here in Madison also I believe.

I decided not to do it because I believe it is more for a macro-style education as opposed to a micro-brewery education.

:off: Madison just purchased a $100,000.00 10 gallon pilot brewery for the food sciences kids. Yes, I do hate them.

Does that utilize a round or rectangular cooler?

I looked into the Siebel Institute, but ended up volunteering at a local brewpub and got close to the same level of info from the brewmaster for free, I just didn't get a fancy certificate:mug:

Yep... just about fell out of my chair just then. :mug:

I'll bet it's a round, white cooler. By the way what is the best cooler color to use?

I've taken the online couse that is the same as what they have on campus.
I think it is good but overpriced.

I was going to take the course from UC Davis, Ca. but it was cancelled. I've seen the text books and course info for it as a friend took it.

Shoot me your address and I'll send you a cd-rom or dvd whatever it fits on of the course when I get a chance.
I tried to capture it all for future reference.
