Default anybody get off-flavor using campden?

i usually use 1/4 tablet for 5 gallon batch, split added to both strike and sparge water. just wondering if anyone has encountered an off flavor as a result using this. i just recently ditched 5.2 ph stabilizer because i was getting a "salty/soapy" taste in my beers.

I regularly use a whole tablet for 5 gallons to break down chloramine and etc (to remove offtastes from them chems). You have nothing to worry about in your circumstance.
