Default Aluminum Pot

Yes, I know the SS vs. aluminum debate has been run in the ground. Unfortunately, I just realized that I made a batch in aluminum but forgot to do the full-pot water boil to build up the protective layer first.

I know I could just wait a month or so and find out myself, but I'm curious if this is a big enough deal that you guys would be expecting some bad flavors. It's a SN Celebration Ale clone, so maybe the strong hop flavors will mask the metal taste?

I've done it before. I would not worry about it.

I never did that. I used a brand new aluminum pot to drain the wort into and boil. The beer ended up winning 3rd place and received a 43/50 from the only certified judge I got. You'll be fine.
