Default Air contamination

I started a batch of lager yesturday, during the night the fermentation flipped the top off the air lock exposing the inner tube I replaced this with another cap as soon as I noticed and it is bubbling nicely, would the air contaminate the brew and ruin it.

Don't worry about it. The constant flow of CO2 out of the tube should keep anything from being drawn in...

I don't even use the cap, no need. It's probably better because you don't want the beer under any pressure, you want no co2 to remain in solution so I use very little water in my airlock and no cap especially in the secondary.
