Default Adding Sugar To Fermenter

I have just brewed my second AG batch (IIPA). The OG was low when adding to primary(1.062). I want to add some sugar dissolved in boiling water then cooled to the fermenter, but when do i add it and how much. I was expecting the OG to be 1.077 .I added 2 rehydrated packs of Safbrew s-33, and it's bubbling rapidly.
Any Answers?

There are a lot of issues with adding sugar. I suggest using the search feature to read up a bit more on it. Some of them include how many gravity points come from different types of sugar, but I don't have that thread handy ATM.

Here's a good one:

Hit "similar threads" if you want to read more.

Good luck!

For a 5 gal. batch--1.5 lbs of table sugar will bring that gravity up to~ 1.077. I would add it after fermentation has slowed.

1lb. 13oz. of corn sugar.
