Default 5 day krausen?

Hey guys quick question and I did some looking but still kinda iffy... I generally never open my primary ale pail but for belgium wit I felt I had to check it out....

My satellite sample showed an SG of 1.012 ish but there was still a really big krausen from what I could tell in my primary... So I waited another 2 days. On day 5 I opened my lid to find it is just sitting there not doing much...

I took an SG from my primary and the reading came out to 1.020 so I still think there is some fermenting going on but, is it normal for the krausen to hang out on top for 5 days?

I read that it seems most 3 days for a wit? I know I should probably RDWHAHB but I just wanna make sure second batch is gonna be yummy and not stuck.

Dang, how'd you know?

Yeah man, just relax, and let the yeast do their thing. 5 days of krausen is nothing unusual, just take a breath, step back, count to 30 days, and all will be well with your beer.

Yep my krausen just fell after 18 days, don't worry about it go do something else and forget you even have that beer sitting there for a few more weeks
