Default 1st batch.. problem in airlock?

Just brewed my first batch yesterday and its been in the fermenter for just over 24 hours. The airlock started bubbling after 12, and now the solution in the airlock has turned brown in the 1st few hours after I had to move it to a cooler location; I haven't heard that this is supposed to happen. Is this a problem?

Sounds like you got a little blowoff. Not a big deal. Keep a close eye on it. If more foam comes up through there, it could clog and lead to the famous exploding fermenter trick.

The wort will bubble up into the airlock sometimes. Nothing to worry about.

Sounds like some mild blow off as mentioned.

If you don't have a blow off hose, pop the lid and scoop a bit of krausen out.
