Now I remember: it's called Kaliber.

i've had the odoul's amber and the coors non-alcoholic beer when my wife was preggums. Both are better than most n/a beers.

What you really need is some n/a Colt 45. Now that would be a party!

O'Doul's Amber is actually a lot better than a kick in the shin.... something I can't say about its green-bottled cousin. And I'm surprised so many people haven't seen it. It's in every grocery/convenience store in my locale.

And I have heard of the N/A Guinness but have never seen it. But if I find it I'll snatch it up and give you a review.

So I got some today.

The amber is not bad... not great, but not hurlworthy either. If it had maybe 5-10 more gravity points worth of body it would be a decent malty beer. Like a fake vienna. It's too bad, it tastes ok, not as sickly sweet as I feared, but if it were less thin it would be a really good substitute for a "real" beer for us "booze invalids."

This Christmas I bought some for my dad (on some meds that do not mix with alcohol) and my sister (preggers). I drank a bottle, and hell, it was better than most "lite" beers. I'd drink it if I had to abstain for awhile.

Both my Dad and my sister ended up having a small (3oz?) sample of my homebrew, though. They couldn't help themselves.

Kaliber. It's not a hoppy, balanced wonderful homebrew, but, it's not bad.

I got tricked into drinking O'Doul's Amber one time. I'll never trust my friends to get me a beer ever again. However, I have to admit, it was quite good.

I had it, and it tasted better than the BMC I've tried.

The other day Marybeth and I went out for pizza and I tried Labatt's N/A called Nordic.

It was actually really good for that style of beer, in fact I can unequivocally say that it is better than a fully alcoholic Budweiser product, hands down. I am a fan of Labatt's Blue as my goto sports bar beer, and really like Labatt's 50, and this non alcoholic is very very good. In fact I could see myself buying that if I wanted a beer taste but didn't want any alcohol.

It's funny, I originally went to the Amber because it would be more on par with the time of ales I prefer, but I ended up actually enjoying something more akin to a beer style I don't tend to enjoy much better.

I don't mind O'Douls when I need something NA. My wife was drinking a lot of it when she was pregnant.

It's like a malty-pop (soda).

Warsteiner also makes an NA that's not bad.

Beer is the mind-killer. Beer is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my beer. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see it's path. When the beer has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
