Default Wholesale?

Anybody got a clue where I can find an extract wholesaler? Because the difference in prices between all grain and extract (spraymalt, DME) is huge

I'd be interested in finding larger quantities of DME as well. I would like to find something between the standard 3lb and 50lb offerings.

Check out DMEmart.com. Quick shipment and you can split order into a couple of different types.

Mmm, not that cheap actually. I live in europe and 55 pounds of DME can cost between 130 and 160 USD. The price of 55 pounds from this website would be closer to 200.

With shipping they might come out about the same, but still not wholesale prices

Try the Group Buys forum. I got 50 lbs. of DME for 100 dollars and change by getting in with one.

I'm not sure about other countries for that though. Hope this helps.

Sentfromspain, Myself and a few friends just started brewing and we have the same problem. After doing some research i found two sites in Spain http://www.cervezasdelmundo.com/index.php and http://www.masmalta.com/ . I haven't ordered from them yet, hopefully this helps.

Actually Doug, of the homebrew providers that are in Spain, this web is the most economic:
http://www.calarenys.com/

Their grain is reasonably good and in general they are a little bit cheaper than the other webs. If you want dry malt extract at wholesale prices, however, you have to find the official suppliers of brands like Munton's in Spain.

The cheapest I found was a Munton's malt extract supplier in Barcelona. If you get in contact with pchumillas@indukern.es, you can get 25 kilos of light malt extract for 80 euro. There's a catch though: the minimum order you can make is 75 kilos, so make sure that you have a lot of time for brewing for the next year or so. I would guess with 75 kilos you could make 15 batches of 5 gallons no problem, or 750 beers thereabouts.

Munton's by the way is a great extract. Just finished two 5-gallon batches combining muntons extract with steeped grains from calarenys, and the beer is godlike.
