OK, so SWMBO bought me a Brewers Best Scotch ale extract kit for Christmas so naturally, I had to brew it ASAP. Well, I had wanted to do a bigger beer quite possibly a wee heavy so i decided to beef the kit up a bit and get what i could out of it. It came with 3.3 lbs Amber LME, 1 LB Amber DME and 2*.5OZ Glacier, 4 OZ crushed smoked malt, 1 OZ crushed Barley, 4 OZ crushed Chocolate, and 4 OZ Crushed Crystal 60L. To get it to fall into the Strong Scotch ale catagory, I added 4 lbs DME and 1 OZ Argentine Cascade cause my LHBS was out of any other hops

. Oh, and im stuck with Windsor dry yeast cause my LHBS was out of yeast too, Though i suppose its a liquor store first and a LHBS 2nd...
Since I was going to be VERY low in the IBU's I decided to extend to an 80 minute boil, adding the Argentine Crystal at 80, 1/2 Glacier at 60, and half at 5.
With a little playing with Beer Calculus, this is what I ended up with. I know it should give me beer, the question is will it be half decent?
Oh, also, will I need a blowoff tube for this, I'm going to be gone for a month while it ferments and don't want to come back to exploded dried wort all over everything. I'm planning on fermenting in a 6.5 Gal Ale Pail at 66º unless I would be better off lower or higher.
