Default Tweaked a recipie kit with Chocolate - question

Hi, first time poster, long time lurker here..

Yesterday I brewed a Brewers Best, Belgian Carmel Wit. I added 1 bar of Ghirardelli 100% Cocoa (4oz) to the final boil of my 5 gal.

it's the first time I've ever tweaked a kit and although I think it is going to turn out nice, the color of the wort is very dark. It took on A LOT of the chocolate character. I'm worried that the chocolate may over take the flavor of the beer. it might not necessarily be a bad thing, but I'm wondering from those who have tweaked with Chocolate to a BB kit, how your beer turned out.

My guess is that the chocolate will setting into the bottom cake and I'll get a clean beer after racking to secondary....

this is going to be the first beer that I rack to a corny keg, so I'm really hopeful that this turns out as I hope!

Maybe my concern is mute, I just tend to worry about every beer I make and they all turn out okay.. :-)

You can relax a bit. The chocolate will become more subtle as the yeast eat up the fermentable sugars from it. It will also decrease as it ages over time. How much exactly? Only time will tell.
