what are your thoughts on a tripel?

what would you rec. as a kit or a recipe.

They're good!

Austin Homebrew has a kit. Most of the time, they're just base malt (malt extract in this case) and maybe some wheat malt or some vienna.

I think that picking the proper yeast is more important than anything. Look for a chimay white recipe. You can't go wrong there.

I just made the Morebeer Belgian Tripel. It is currently carbonating, but the taste as I bottled it was just what I was expecting for something like a Chimay White.
