Default SG very high?

I brewed an IPA kit today, brewers best, and the starting gravity says it should be between 1.05 - 1.055. I am at 1.035....how do i fix this? What is going wrong?

topic should read "SG very low" oops!

Is it extract?

Partial boil?

Top up water?

It isnt mixed well enough.... the OG is fine. Dont worry about it, many times this happens. The yeast will find the sugar.

Shake it for a half hour? Look, it doesnt matter. When you are doing extract, your OG will always be RIGHT ON if you have the correct volume. ie. 5 gallons
