Default Sam Adams Black Lager Clone Kit

Anyone ever used the Sam Adams Black Lager Clone kit from Austin HomeBrew? This is one of my favorite commercial beers and I'm thinking about trying this kit, just wanted to know if anyone has any reviews or comments....

I have not but if you take the leap let me know how it turns out. I just brewed their Maibock and IPA kits for the 20 for 20 years sale. I want to do a Black Lager for my next lager. I love Black Lager as well.

I've never tried the kit,but found it interesting that Michelob "amber bock" is really a dark lager, making it an American knock off of a German "swartzbeir". I read about one that can be purchased here on the germanbeerinstitute.com. I forget the name right off. I wonder how close these recipes come to something like that?
