Absolutely is possible...and healthy.
Don't sweat it. There ain't a sarcastic personality on here that didn't have the same issues when they were (and some still are since it's all relative) n00bs.
Fusel alcohol is some nasty sh!t and any dialogue to help understand and prevent it is good.

Learning how a beer changes as it ages is an important part of brewing. Sampling during the process should be part of your education, so some time in the future you can tell a new brewer: "Yes, that flavor will go away."

I think this point gets lost sometimes. And it was a hydro sample anyway.
If you didn't use pure O2 to aerate the wort then you didn't over-aerate...so I would rule that one out.

Thank you all for your replies. We'll just see what those yeasties want to do now, won't we? Woo hoo! Party in my fermentor!
Part of my problem, by the way (among the many problems I have), is that the time from brewing to fully-bottle-conditioned is waaay longer than how often I want to brew a new batch. So I try to learn from previous batches before I brew a new one... and it *can* help - I limited bleach-induced phenolics to just my first batch, and my second is pretty damn good. On the other hand, maybe I can get just a tad carried away sometimes. My girlfriend makes fun of me.
At any rate, I appreciate the input. I'm sure I'll ask more annoying questions soon enough.

Dont get us wrong here, We understand 100%. When I sunk bleow the beerltne and started drowing in this obession I was always thinking of how I could brew another batch and another and another. etc Now I have the ingredients for about 60 batches and the ability to brew 6 five gallon batches at any one time. I was truly scared there for a while because every single time I went to the LBS I came home with a new carboy and enough grain to do a few batches. I honeslty could not stop myself. Put me in any LBS and I was walking out with a complete brewkit basically everytime. Meanwhile I had B3 delivering "Free Shipping " order every week. Then came the intervention. Ok it quickly turned into a happy hour with tons of great beer and they forgot why they gathered me there. Lucky one that.

When I feel like molesting that way too young beer and just can't wait any longer,I will break dowm and buy beer in the style I have going and then leave mine alone.Helps build up the bottle supply also.Brewing regularly until every bottle you have empty is filled helps also.
