Default No activity... pitch new yeast?

So I brewed a batch on Saturday and still have no airlock activity. Its a pale ale (extract) which I used washed liquid yeast 1G. I have already successfully used another one of the washed yeast from this generation.

I had forgotten to do a starter a few days before so I just mixed it up and dumped it in. Its 3 days now and no airlock activity. I wouldn't be worried except when I slightly push on the bucket top no bubbles come out either. Meaning absolutely no pressure inside the bucket.

Not really sure what I should do next. Should I just throw a dry yeast packet in to help it along? Should I add in another washed yeast? Or should I take a gravity reading to see whats going on?

Mosquito, I think you've been around here long enough to know the answer to this? You've seen the endless posts saying airlock activity is not a good indication of fermentation.

Come on pal, I don't need to break out the uber airlock post do I?

I'm actually a little hurt...it's not like you just signed up last week....You should know this....

I feel like such a failure.....

You're right.. You're right... its just different when its your batch opposed to someone else's.

I should be better then this.

But its hard when there's 4 other batches bubbling away.

BTW. Opened the bucket, had nice krausen and put the top back on.

Immediately touched down on the top and air came through the airlock.

Stupid me didn't have the lid closed all the way I guess.....

Nice. I brewed two batches with the bucket, then switched to a glass carboy. You should try it.....much more fun to watch, and easier to follow the progress. I highly recommend it....

And when I touched it down there, then air came out of it.
