Default Newbie with a few questions

Helllo Gents,
I just recieved my home brew kit. Im on Austin HomeBrews website tring to figure out what id like to brew.
Im a big fan of DFH Burton Baton is there anything like that? Or close?
So many decisions. Does it really matter what yeast to buy? White Labs or Wyeast?

Thank you
Sean

I don't have much experience, but since DFH doesn't do "standard" beers, your best bet would probably be to find a clone recipe and have your LHBS put together a kit for you.

Welcome to homebrewing Sean! Search Austin Homebrew or Norther Brewer for clone recipes....simple, and a good way to help you get a grasp on what different ingredient ratios do to effect the overall profile of the beer. If you go White Labs, pay attention to the date. Some think that the Wyeast "smack-packs" are gimmicky, but seeing the pack swell at least gives you some indication that the yeast is viable. I've had consistently good results with Wyeast. Feel free to let your questions fly on this forum. Lot's of great people on here who are anxious to help.
