Overnight my fermentation process plugged my air lock and blew it off, apparently. I cleaned off the foam on top and put a new lock on top but looks like some air got down into it, the brown stuff. Is my beer still safe?
Not a worry. Blowoffs are a mess but not much goes in as the Kreusen and CO2 flows out. Definitely a time to relax and enjoy the process.
Make yourself a blow-off
Yes the blow-off is definitely what I'm going to use from now on. Fun stuff tho! This was the first time that happened but I was just double checking, thanks for the info!
