Default Muntons Connoisseurs Export Stout questions

The mothernlaw purchased a few Extract kits for me, one of which is a Muntons Connoisseurs Stout.

I've moved away from using all dextrose in these kits. I usually use 1.5 lbs DME, .5 lb Dextrose, and .5 lb maltodextrine.

I want to start using steeped grain additions instead of the DME and sugar when I use pre hopped kits. I'm already looking into ways I can go all grain if possible in the future. This would be a intermediate step for me.

Can someone suggest what grains and amounts I might use to add to this stout kit? Any other additions? I have a 3 Gallon Pot to use to steep in.

The kit is a 1.8kg can of pre-hop extract, and it makes 6 Gallons US. They want about 1kg of sugar added.
