Brewed lots of hopped Muntons kits over the years. Go with 1lb cane sugar, 1lb of dme, and boil up 1oz of aroma hops (willamette or cascade) for about 5 min. I'd personally go with 5G.

I recently put together an expired an expired muntons kit I got on sale. 1 Muntons bitter Kit - 1LBS of light malt extract - 1lb of dextrose - 20L of water.
I usually brew the kits to 20L instead of the recommended 23L. Check out the vid if you like:
