I tried, but didn't find it... some threads on here seem to indicate it's not available.

I was thinking to look at midwest & NB to see if theirs is 100% Munich. It'd be good to know for future reference. Dito on the Marris Otter LME.
**Midwest is briesse,so only 50% Munich. NB's is said by them to be a 50/50 mix of pale & munich malts. I'd like to know if 100% munich can still be had. The one mentioned in the book might no longer be available,or he got it from a German inport source.

How's that?

This is a perfect scenario to do a PM.

Just looked at morebeer.com. Their's is a 50/50 mix as well. Looked in a few more places,no go. All 50/50's. Even highgravityhomebrew.com uses the briesse & mixes more pale with it. Or they get the 100% from briesse,& mix it 50/50 themselves. You'd have to read the description at; http://www.highgravitybrew.com/productcart/pc/Bulk-Malt-Unhopped-Munich-p2856.htm
Even looked up briess on nextag, same 50/50 mix. I wonder if there's some commercial connection only stuff involved with getting it 100%?

He was likely planning on extract with steeping grains. But you are correct. This would be an opportunity to try a PM if the OP so chooses. Although, it sounds to be as though he is trying to simplify things.

Since I'm doing my brew during naptime for kids I was told I couldn't take the extra time to do a mash.
Extract with grains is what the plan is.
