I'm thinking about doing an imperial red for my next batch.

What were the specs on yours? SRM, IBUs, OG??

Sorry typo I actually brewed a double red but here are the specs.

10# light LME
Steeping grains: 1# 120L crystal malt, 1#60L crystal malt

2oz Columbus hops (60mins)
2oz New Zealand Super Acid hops (60mins)
1oz Galena hops (15mins)
2oz Columbus hops (1mins)

Optional: dry hop 2oz Centennial hops

Ferment with white labs Burton Ale Yeast
Preferred (yeast starter)

Expected OG: 1.074
Expected FG: 1.021
Expected SRM: 19.89

I actually got a 1.080 og and finished with an abv of about 8.1% so it's a big beer

I actually did the dry hop too which I'm glad I did cause it came out with a good finishing bite
