Default hops storage

Just wondering what is the preferred method of storing hops. Fridge? Freezer? We bought a barleywine clone recipe from AH and the hops are in those little vacuum sealed bags so I just threw them in the freezer. Does it matter how they're stored?

The freezer is the way to go. As long a they are free from oxygen, they should last for a long while in the freezer

Ok cool. That's what I was told like 15+ yrs ago when I first brewed so was wondering if it was still true. Thanks a bunch.
