I am brewing an imperial blonde ale and it seemed to be doing great. I moved it to secondary and had it covered I just checked on it and the beer turned a dark black. This recipe lightens as it ferment. What happened

If you put it in secondary your yeast is finally dropping out so the beer no longer has a bunch of small particles reflecting light right next to the carboy side as it did when fermentation was active causing it to appear much darker. If you take a sample it will be much lighter in color as the light isn't attempting to penetrate 15" of beer.
