I might be the odd one out, but I'd be pretty happy if I paid for an extract kit that ended up with a higher gravity

I understand trying to hit the style's target gravity but higher ABV is a good thing IMO

Ya I was thinking the same thing. Would that difference in sg noticibly affect the flavore? I would be curious to know. My sg's are rarely accurate, but I tend to adjust the recipe.
