Default First full boil attempt

I'm going to be doing my first full boil tomorrow! Any suggestions? I have a Brewer's Best Red Ale kit. I substituted the dry yeast packet with a Whit Labs Irish Ale vile. The rest of the kit is standard. I tested my new immersion chiller when I conditioned my turkey fryer pot and it worked great! I still need to find the right flow rate from my hose though.

I use a higher flow rate on the chiller to start and then back it off as the wort gets cooler. Stir the wort or move the chiller in the pot to keep the cooling more even throughout.

You have enough time to make a starter on the liquid yeast too.

Why did you substitute the yeast? That's good yeast and the proper strain for this batch?

WBC, the BB kit comes with Nottingham dry yeast and I wanted to try a yeast strain for the Irish Red I'm going to be brewing. I've only used White Labs yeasts once before and that batch is bottle conditioning as we speak.

Ok, I misunderstood I thought it was the other way around (dry for liquid White Labs). I am sorry. Yeah the White Labs should be really good. Some times these old eyes read incorrectly.
