First Brew is a Winner!!

I am very excited because I just tried one of my home brews and it tastes great! I was initially a little discouraged because I had popped one open just after 1 week of bottle conditioning and the taste was very bland and yeasty, "green" beer I suppose. Anyway I am shocked at what just a little time can do. Today, one week later, my beer is crisp, malty and refreshing. I can't wait to see what brew #2 tastes like!

The rewards of a little patience. I still have trouble waiting sometimes, but it sure does pay off!

Sit back and enjoy, you'll be hooked in no time.

my first brew was just less then a year ago and I turned it in about 5 weeks from boil to drink. I really was rushed to say I did it. I have learned not to do that now. Congratz on your first and good luck with many more. (avg 125 Gallons this year).

I know what a thrill that "time" thing is with aging beer - I gave a friend a six pack of very young (1 week) brown ale , which he took home, and forgot about for 7 weeks ...

He came back with that same six pack, chilled

So, 8 weeks after bottling, we cracked the first and MAN! even the wife chirped in how excellent it was !

So, all I can say is always keep something in the pipeline, and you will won't have to worry about dipping in early..(which is my biggest "challenge" ..)

It is truly remarkable how much the brew improves in just a few weeks !
