i'm going to be making my first batch of belgian tripel that i got from morebeer, and plan on making it this weekend on sunday,second overall.I'm new to this stuff, and i love it. I have a few questions so i can be ready to brew. 1)the instructions that came with the kit says to leave it in the fermentor for 2 weeks and then bottle it for about 2-3 weeks.I've been reading around, and found a lot of people saying to leave it in fermentor for like a couple months and then bottle and leave that for a few months.what is recommended?? 2)i have a 4gal kettle,and was wondering if its possible to boil 3gal, and then dump 2 more gallons of water in the fermenting bucket to make it a full 5 gallons??
