Yeah, I was just messing with you. The amount of krausen isn't a good indicator to how healthy a fermentation is. It is more a factor of the proteins present in the wort and the strain of yeast. The layer of "stuff" floating right below the krausen is the yeast. You want to see that stuff! Don't worry too much about your beer, it will usually take care of itself. And it's gotta be bad to worry so much!
