Default Extract SRM

I've been playing around with BeerSmith and looking at various recipes. Most online vendors give the general SRM of the products they sell, but it seems that Midwest does not do this for their extracts.

Does anyone know the general rule for extract SRM? I've been told that one vendor's "Gold" may be lighter or darker than another vendor. Midwest seems cheaper on most ingredients, but I don't want my recipe to be off because I bought the wrong LME.
