Default Extract split boil

I am thinking of doing a split boil for an extract beer kit due to the fact that the company I ordered my brew pot from sent the wrong pot. The kit calls for 2.5 gal boil and I don't have a pot that can support the liquid and DME in a single boil. Will it matter andy conduct two boils and mix the wort in the same fermenter?

Sure, that's no problem. Split your extract and hops roughly proportionally to the volumes involved. A pot is basically just a container for the wort to sit in while hot.
