Default Drinkable Ale ?

I'm working up a "drinkable ale" recipe for when I have my "beer pansy" friends over. I would love some feedback.

2 lbs - 6 row , 30 min steep @ 153
2 lbs - rice syrup @ boil
3/4 oz. - hallertau hops @ boil
3/4 oz. - hallertau hops @ 55 min
3 lbs. - light DME @ 60 min flame out
Coopers ale yeast

Sound good?
Mike

That sounds very BMCish. I think it would turn out pretty similar to what you're expecting. If it was me I would make them love this beer then slowly but surely add some crystal malts and start throwing in more and more hops. I'm doing something similar to my girlfriend. I started with a blueberry wheat beer, and I will slowly modify the recipe. I think within five years or so I'll be feeding her DIIPA's!

It's great if "beer pansy" is what you're going for
