Does anyone have a good recipe for Dos Equis Amber? I would really appreciate any information that you may have.

Thanks

I would be looking for a good Vienna amber recipe, because that's what the Dos Equis is. Search for Vienna Amber and you will find lot's of recipes.

Bradsul's recipe for his Vienna lager is great- I loved it when I did it and it was really very much like Dos Equis, although not designed to be a clone. Give it a try!

Here's Bradsul's recipe, http://www.homebrewtalk.com/f59/brads-vienna-lager-80356/

BUT I don't think Vienna malt comes in an extract. That would be the major difficulty in doing it as an extract. I did it as a double decoction mash, using only Vienna malt. I don't think it can be converted to extract, but probably can be done as a partial mash with some Vienna malt. It won't be exactly the same, since the extract won't be Vienna, but it might be acceptable.

The lagering schedule would be critical- Dos Equis is a lager, and lager yeast and a fermentation at about 50 degrees is a big part of it.
