i am new to brewing and although i have been reading the forums i cannot find an answer to my question. i am wondering can i quickly cool my wort with ice. i was thinking of making the wort by following the directions but leaving out one gallon of warter durring the boil and replacing that with the proper poundage of ice afterwards to quickly cool the wort. has anyone tried thes and will it work?
