Default buying malt online and need help

hi everyone

I'm a newbie only about year into this and Im about to try a sam adams clone. I have a very small LHBS so im ordering off northern brewer but im having trouble knowing what to buy. For example I need light malt extract but on the site they have a 3.15 and a 6.0 what are they talking about? Is that volume amount or what? Might sound dumb but Im a rookie???

I may be wrong, but I think those numbers refer to the weight in pounds... ie: 3.15 lbs or 6 lbs.
