Default Brew day is complete

Today I was able to brew what will hopefully be a good summertime beer. The recipe I used is one I came up with, and hopefully it will turn out good.
6.6 lbs light LME
.75 lbs Caramel 10L
1 oz Mangum
1.5 oz Centennial
Wyeast 1332

I steeped the grain for about 30 minutes at 160°,
I did a full 60 minute boil with 1/2 of the LME and the Mangum. I added 1 oz of the Centennial at 15 minutes and the other 1/2 oz at 5 minutes. The OG looks to be about 1.044 so I am hoping this turns out nicely for a light beer. I guess I'll find out in about 2 1/2 weeks.

Well, the hydrometer reads, "BEER," so I would consider this a success!

I think it will be great. I like Centennial.

I just brewed my third batch (4th if you count my mead). It's still exciting. My third batch was the same recipe as the first, but corrected my mistakes. We'll see if it's as good, or better than the first. It was pretty awesome.

Well, NOW brew day is complete. Just put it in the keg to cool down and the carb it up in a few days. ImageUploadedByHome Brew1405809925.499061.jpgImageUploadedByHome Brew1405809959.136312.jpg

This should finish out for a good refreshing afternoon beer. It has a minimal amount of grapefruit flavor, which is just right for me.
