I'm just curious how many have tried this and how did it turn out.
LHBS has recently seen an uptick in business and they happened to be out of any lighter DME or LME at the time.
LHBS owner suggested the following recipe and I figured, 'what the hell, I'll give it a shot'.
Hopville . "Simcoe Copper Pale Ale" American Pale Ale Recipe
I'm a tad concerned it may be a little on the sweet/malty side for my personal preference, but I'm excited to see how it turns out. I've never used Amber DME, so I'm glad to see what it's like.
