I was in Washington D.C. last month and drank a decent bit of Alagash White and I was hooked. Its awesome and unfortunately we don't have that here in La. Anyone know any good clone kits for it? Im pretty new to everything and only have done a Belgian Witbier kit and just ordered an Autumn Amber Ale kit from Midwest. Will be doing that as soon as it comes in.

Head to head tasting just now. Real thing on the left, mine on the right.

Short story - it's not a clone. At least not how I made it. Obviously the color is way off, but that's to be expected of an extract brew. Allagash White is fuller and has more ester flavors. That being said, it's good stuff. I prefer the Allagash but my roommate prefers the home brew. I probably used too much citrus zest (1/2 oz) and it covers up some of the more subtle flavors that are apparent in the Allagash. Is it Allasgash? No. But it's worth brewing.
