Default Where to lager

The primary on my first lager, a Vienna at 1.058 (I know, it is a bit high, got better efficiency than I expected) is almost though. I was planning on bringing it down from 50F to 35F over a week and then lagering at this temperature for another week.

I would like to gain access to my temp controlled fridge and carboy sooner than later. I was curious whether I can bottle, CO2 condition, and then return the bottles to a different fridge and lager them in the bottle? In other words, does bottle lagering under carbonation differ from bulk lagering without carbonation (i.e. in a carboy)? If so, how?

Thanks.
